What kind of bakery is Love Always, Cake.
Love Always, Cake is a minimalist home bakery specializing in mini cakes, cake jars, cupcakes, and other treats. Love Always, Cake. does NOT offer or specialize in fondant, character themed, or sculpted cakes, though fondant and character images may be applied for enhancement purposes.
What size cakes do you offer?
Currently, up to 6 inches. The sizes for Number & Letter cakes vary. Cake Jars may be 2oz, 14oz or 16oz.
I love the idea of Cake Jar Minis. How far in advance should I request them for my party, wedding, or large event?
Great Question! Cake Jar Minis are perfect for dessert tables. It's advisable to book them at least 3 months in advance to ensure the jars are available and can be sourced in adequate time to avoid disappointment. Cake Jar Minis are especially popular during seasonal months like Easter, Summer and Christmas so be mindful of peak times.
Can I choose a different flavor in each layer?
Absolutely! Please take a look at the menu for the best flavour pairings.
Can I request a quote?
I’ve made it easy for you to request a quotation by using the Cost Calculator. Typically, I tend not to veer from what is offered on the site.
I just need a simple cake. Can I place my order the day before?
Simple cake orders need to be placed at least a week in advance. I'd suggest that you visit the cake shop to see the options.
Can I request a design or share a picture of a cake done by another baker/business?
Picture ideas, mood boards or visuals are accepted; however, I am unable to recreate the design or decorations exactly. I am always happy to work with your inspiration but the cake will become your own. Also, Love Always, Cake. is a minimalist bakery which does not specialize in fondant cakes. Please be guided by cakes already made as variations can be achieved.
What do you use to cover your cake?
As mentioned, Love Always, Cake. only uses buttercream and ganache at this time. Depending on the type of cake requested, edible images and fondant decorations may be used.
How do I place an order?
This is easy! Visit www.lovealwayscake.com, peruse the menu and be guided accordingly. Inquiries & orders can also be made via email at indulge@lovealwayscake.com. Messages via social media should be avoided as monitoring of the platform is not consistent.
When should I place an order?
It is best to place an order 2-3 weeks in advance. If you require a cake within shorter notice, you may still email as we might be able to accommodate it `{`rush fee may be added`}`.
Are rush requests accepted?

Do you provide options for persons with dietary restrictions?
Love Always., Cake also offers cakes or toppings containing alcohol. This is not an allergen-free/nut-free business, therefore, some of cakes, fillings or buttercream may contain traces of nuts. Currently, your cake can be made eggless. I am working on perfecting my recipes to allow for vegan, gluten free and soy free options. Note that the cost of these items will be higher. Customers with severe allergies should order at their own discretion.
Do you have a colour picker on the site for buttercream or other decor?
Yes, there is a tool to choose your desired colour scheme. While we do our best to match buttercream colors and designs as requested, exact color replication may not always be possible. Variations in ingredients and food color availability can affect the final result. By placing an order, you acknowledge that minor differences in colour, texture, or decorations may occur.
How much do your cakes cost?
Prices vary on the type of cake requested. Peruse our menu for the cost of cake jars, cupcakes and other treats. Starting prices for larger items are also visible on the website. Prices can differ depending on size, design, toppings, layers or other enhancements.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to bPayment Agreement: Orders $50.00 and below must be paid in full to secure the order. Orders over $50.00 require a 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm the booking. The deposit must be made within 3 days of receiving a confirmation email. Your order is not booked without a deposit. Online transfers via Sagicor, ScotiaBank, FCIB, or The Credit Union (BPWCUL) are preferred. Payment details will be provided after placing an order.
What payment options are available?

Do you offer custom cake or cupcake toppers?
Custom cake toppers must be ordered at least two weeks in advance, as they are sourced from a local company. If your requested topper design is different from the options on our website, an additional five days will be required for a mock-up and updated pricing. Late requests may result in limited availability or an alternative topper being offered.
Do you have collection times?
All deposit and collection times are scheduled. If you are unable to make it and wish to reschedule, please inform me as soon as possible. Customers must collect their orders within the scheduled pickup time. A grace period of 15 minutes is allowed. If pickup is delayed beyond 15 minutes, a late fee of $10 per 30 minutes will apply. If the order is not collected within 2 hours of the scheduled time and no prior arrangement is made, the order will be considered forfeited with no refund.
Do you ship/mail cakes?
I’m working on it! My cakes and buttercream have travelled to Canada and were enjoyed. Once I figure the logistics, you’ll be the first to know!
How should I hold my cake?
Always hold the cake box from the bottom and NOT the sides. If you do, you are likely to damage the cake. Always keep the cake box and cake in an upright position.
How should I transport my cake?
It is best to transport your cake on the ground of the car, as this is the flattest surface. Car seats are slanted. The use of air condition is best as it can also be angled towards the floor of the car. I do not accept responsibility for any damages after the cake leaves my hands.
What is my responsibility when collecting the cake?
Upon collection/delivery, your cake is considered “accepted”. Love Always, Cake. is not responsible for the poor handling, transportation, or storage of cakes after they leave our premises. Please follow the provided cake care instructions either via email or on the box, to maintain quality and freshness.
What if a cake damage occurs?
Unfortunately, after the cake is viewed and paid for, Love Always, Cakes does not accept liability for any damages or mishaps that may occur. Cake care and Instructions are provided with each purchase and it is best that you read them thoroughly.
How do I remove my cake from the box?
Cake Jars are the easiest to remove from a box. For other cakes, depending on the box, you may simply need to remove the cover and carefully lift the cake from the box. In most cases, the sides are collapsible which makes it easily to slide your cake out after removing the tabs.
How should I store my cake?
Some of my cakes do not need to be refrigerated immediately based on the ingredients used. Its is generally recommended to refrigerate after 1 day and consume within a week. Please keep in mind the setting in which your cake will be displayed and the weather. Avoid direct sunlight and heat. If the room/location is very humid, store the cake in the fridge or an air conditioned room instead.
How should I store my chocolate covered strawberries or cake products with fresh fruit or flowers?
Cakes topped with fresh fruits & chocolates MUST be kept refrigerated. Buttercream, fruits & chocolates when refrigerated and taken out at periods at a time can ``sweat``, get messy, and the fruits can ``bleed``. Store your cake in the fridge as required, and only take it out before serving. Always remove the flowers first before consuming your cake.
I’ve sliced my cake, now what?
Hopefully there will be no slices left! If there are, cover tightly with plastic wrap or store in a sealed container to retain moisture. Remember to remove any straws or dowels from the cake.
How do you handle cancellations, refunds or order changes?
All sales are final. Love Always, Cake. does not offer refunds, cancellations, or returns once an order is confirmed. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable to another date or order. Changes to your order (size, flavour, design) must be requested at least 7 days before the pickup/delivery date. Additional charges may apply. In cases of unforeseen circumstances, Love Always, Cake. may offer a credit towards a future order at our discretion.
How do you handle issues and grievances?
If you are unsatisfied with your cake, please contact us within 24 hours of collection/delivery. We will do our best to resolve the issue, which may include minor corrections or adjustments. Refunds and full replacements are not guaranteed but may be considered at our discretion for valid concerns.
